Shogun 2 represented how far the franchise had come, as well as the huge leaps in technology and presentation over a small pocket of history. The return to Feudal Japan roots was more than symbolic, as Shogun 2 side-by-side with the original Shogun showcased vast technological and mechanical improvements the famed strategy developer had built and refined over almost a decade.
